This year’s MCG/CC Events Points Series will have 6 events, with the best 5 out of 6 counting for participant’s overall points standing. This season at the Martin, MI event, in July, Chrysler Classic will hold its Double Points race weekend with eliminations for all classes on Saturday and Sunday. Racers will receive tech points for both day. In addition, points earned on Saturday will be combined with the points earned on Sunday for an event total. (Example: 11 points for tech each day, 20 points earned on Saturday and 40 points earned on Sunday for a grand total of 82 points.)

In order to be eligible for this year’s Points Series Chrysler Classic participants MUST be a MCG Elite Access member. The MCG Elite Access membership should be purchased through Mopar Collectors Guide (225-274-0609) for an annual cost of $35.00.

The MCG Elite Access Membership consists of the following:

• A 1 year subscription to Mopar Collector’s Guide magazine (wrapped & delivered in plastic)
• Access to BidMopar.com the new online Mopar auction site launching May 1 2007
• Access to the New Mopar Collector’s Guide website (Launching date TBA)
• Registration in the MCG/CC Events Points Series. Note: The Permanent Number system for racers NO LONGER EXIST!!! All Race participants wanting to compete in the MCG/CC Events Points Series MUST be a MCG Elite Access member and MUST be registered by July 19, 2008 (NO EXCEPTIONS!!!).

THERE WILL BE NO POINTS AWARDED FOR EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION!!!

All Posted Points Series Drag Race Classes will earn at each event:
1.) Passing Tech = 11 points All tech points will count toward year end total
2.) Each round WON during Sunday eliminations, regardless of car count = 10 points
3.) Event WIN = 5 bonus points; Event RUNNER-UP = 3 bonus points
4.) Buy Back points = Points will be earn starting with round 4 win.

Hemi Super Stock & Max Wedge Class Run offs:
1.) Classes with ONLY 1 car. Winner receives 6 points.
2.) Classes with ONLY 2 cars. Winner receives 6 points; runner-up receives 3 points.
3.) Classes with 3 or more cars. Winner receives 9 points; runner-up receives 6 points; all remaining drivers receive 3 points.
Note: You DO NOT receive 10 points for round wins during class eliminations.
