Attention Chrysler Classic at US 131 Participants

Thanks to all the Chrysler Classic participants and fans who came out to support the 2nd Annual Chrysler Classic at US131. Unfortunately, this event turned into an all day soaker on Saturday with not much hope of anything different on Sunday, therefore leading to the cancellation of the 2008 season double race weekend. The Chrysler Classic is looking into changing its name to the CC Rainmakers as each event so far this season has unfortunately had some of the four letter word but none like the all day soakers endured at US131. With the rainout this past weekend once again, the 11th Norwalk Chrysler Classic will be a double race weekend. Friday, September 12th will be the makeup day for the Sunday US 131 race with the remainder of the weekend for the usual Norwalk Chrysler Classic schedule.

For all of you that attended the Chrysler Classic at US 131, once again we thank you for your support. To all US131 race participants, as announced at US131 on Sunday when the race was cancelled the Sunday US131 race will be made up on Friday at the Norwalk event. The Friday US131 race will be open to all racers with points being awarded to only the US131 participants. For those US131 participants who purchased a double race weekend entry the Saturday entry fee will automatically be applied towards your Norwalk entry fee with a $10 discount (i.e. Pro US131 double race entry fee $105 ($35 Saturday, $70 Sunday) Norwalk Pro entry fee with discount $60 less $35 from Saturday US131 equals balance due of $25.) Therefore, all US131 double race entry fees will be considered pre-registered for the Norwalk event and receive the Norwalk event t-shirt as part of their goodie bag. We are in the process of contacting all US131 race participants via the tech cards all racers were asked to turn in on Sunday during the cancellation announcement. We ask for your patience and understanding in this process. If you have not heard from our office by August 9th please contact us at 614-835-0426. Again, a big thanks to all who came out to support the 2nd Chrysler Classic at US131.
